I feel homelessness is a very serious issue,
however it’s not visible. Unfortunately, these presentations
are the first I’ve seen that is actually doing something
to improve the situation. I believe that more people should be
hired and should be sent to inform the community and to try to
get them to help.
-- Student, York Region, Ontario
Street Kids International has closely collaborated with educators and students to enhance existing educational programming such as Character Matters in the York Region of Ontario. As part of this work, Street Kids has provided interactive classroom workshops using community mapping, animation, role plays and games to raise awareness about local youth poverty and homelessness.
On a regular basis Street Kids International Staff and associates
participate in events and produce documents on issues affecting street
youth. We have provided these resources here for your use. Please
feel free to reference them in your research and pass them on to
others.![]()

Each annual report is an opportunity to share stories and information on our programs. In 2003-2004 we invested heavily in time and effort to put together an annual report that captured our work more completely that we had in some time. We have kept this report here as it is still very current and will give you an excellent sense of who we are and what we do.
