There are over 100 million street kids world wide. They are boys and girls living in rich and poor countries. Poverty and global issues such as war, AIDS and political instability have led these youth to be orphaned, abused and forced them to the street to become income earners.

Street Kids International has developed an ESL curriculum using the Street Talk audio conferences with the help of ESL teacher Mandi Gerland.
This curriculum:

  • Meets Ontario Ministry of Education expectations for ESL level 4
  • Is composed of 23 lesson plans with associated learning and assessment tools
  • Includes a CD-ROM of all 4 Street Talk audio conferences
  • Includes a DVD of Street Kids International's award winning animations
  • Expands students' knowledge of their rights and responsibilities as Canadian youth to their own community and within the global context
