Bio & Pic to come

We are currently recruiting for a Fundraising and Communications Coordinator. If you would like to join our team, please check the job description and application details.

The people who volunteer their time to Street Kids are vital to our ongoing success and they choose to help us in different ways. There are those that come into our London offices and help with the running of our hard-working charity. Others choose to donate their specialist skills, another great way to help us.

Street Kids would like to thank every single person who has donated their skills and their time to support us along our journey. We really couldn’t do it without you!

We’ve profiled just two of our volunteers for you but we are grateful for the support of each and every one.

Mariella D’Effremo – Intern

After gaining a Masters degree in Political Science with my dissertation on poverty in the EU area, I attended a course in European project management.

I needed to improve my English, so I moved to the UK, settling in Edinburgh - a wonderful city. After my time in Scotland, I secured an internship in Budapest in the Italian Chamber of Commerce.

It was after this placement that I came to London to work with Street Kids International. It has been an engaging and involving experience. Working for Street Kids has been hugely empowering. I’m learning, discovering and sharing so much knowledge and experience.

We’re showing kids living on the street a real, sustainable pathway to a better life. It’s been a very rewarding experience for me. And I’m excited about the future of this charity.

Adam Noall - Donation of Professional Skill

I’ve donated money to various charities in the past, but the Street Kids approach to changing young lives resonated with me. I decided that I could help the charity far more by donating my professional services, rather than my money. I have helped write website copy, promotional materials for fundraising events and the stories of Ethiopian street youth to complement the photography of a successful London exhibition.

Working for free was so rewarding and I feel I’ve made a valuable contribution to Street Kids International and the young people they help.

I run Blank Pages, a professional copywriting business. I firmly believe organisations can connect with their audience in more profound ways if they consider the words they use with more care. A copywriter is as essential to your business as a solicitor and accountant. Those professionals can save and protect your money, a good copywriter will make you money.

Thank you to each and every one of our volunteers. Whether you gave a day or supported us for months, our heartfelt thanks go out to all of you:
