here to here logoIn summer 2008 C.J. and Dylan Wilkins embarked from their hometown of Calgary, Alberta, on a journey to ride their motorcycles around the world and raise funds and awareness for Street Kids International in the process.

The Here to Here World Tour benefiting Street Kids International was the dramatic journey of two brothers traveling more than 30,000 kilometres around the world on two Buell motorcycles.

Why ride so far through such demanding conditions? The brothers, who grew up in a low-income, single-parent home, wanted to raise awareness and funds for Street Kids International.

"Growing up, Dylan and I had only the opportunities we created for ourselves," said, C.J.  "We love that Street Kids International empowers youth to improve their own lives. It is a hand-up, not a hand-out way of getting involved."

On May 10, 2008, the brothers started in Calgary, traveled east to Halifax, N.S., then flew across the Atlantic to start the European leg of their trip.

Unfortunately, halfway through the journey C.J. became ill, and the brothers had to cancel the remainder of the tour so he could recuperate. They had traveled almost halfway around the world, ending their journey in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and raised $13,000 for Street Kids International in the process.

We thank C.J. and Dylan for their efforts through their remarkable and ambitious journey.
