chalk it up for charity
The inaugural Cues for Kids tournament, held in 2007, was a huge success thanks to our celebrity team captains and their teams for the enthusiasm and support. Together they raised almost $15,000 for street kids around the world!
This year, Cues for Kids will be held on November 20, 2008 at Rivoli in downtown Toronto. Our goal is to raise $25,000 to support Street Kids International initiatives across the world through a four-round billiard tournament. Sixteen local celebrities will be on hand to captain a team of three individuals and compete to win fabulous prizes along with bragging rights for a year.
Who: Anyone and everyone can get a team together
(as long as you’re over the age of 19)
Where: The Rivoli, 334 Queen St. W, Toronto, Ontario
When: Thursday, November 20, 2008, Tournament starts @ 7pm
How:
1. get a team together and register
- Teams of 3 friends or strangers join together to raise as much as you can
- The 16 teams that raise the most money will be guaranteed a spot in the tournament.
- The team that raises the most money will have first choice of which celebrity they play with, followed by the second and so on.
2. raise funds
- After you register, there is a quick and easy set-up that allows you to customize your own fundraising page and send out emails instantly.
- Fundraising made easy – the majority of donations will be made and tracked online. If you prefer the paper method, a pledge form will be provided for you.
