From Paper to Print: collaborations between street kids around the world and Canadian photographers.

Drawn To Develop

The Drawn To Develop (D2D) Committee hosted the second annual D2D gala on October 15, 2009 in Toronto’s Distillery District. This spectacular evening of hope and entertainment featured a silent auction of original photographic prints inspired by the drawings and stories of street youth from India, Kenya, Nepal, Peru, and Sierra Leone.

The auction showcased the work of over 40 Canadian photographers, offering guests an opportunity to take home an original piece of art while making a meaningful contribution to help transform someone’s life.

Thanks to the support of all participants, the gala raised over $35,000 for Street Kids International. The D2D Committee extends a special thank you to title sponsors ChitizPathak and Mantella Corporation, the talented photographers who contributed their work, and to the volunteers who made the event come alive as a night of magic and beauty.
